Some nice doc style bits but its not too clear what the film intended to do. Flatter to suggest a musical man/catalyst rock star hunts for new talent in China – or a a bore bullshitting to camera at times. Sometimes hoping to sound like Malcolm McLaren but he’s not as insightful or amusing – his view doesn’t resonate or have that acuracy. The music gets better as the film moves on – there’s a lot of ya main man not nailing his descriptions and the film gets lost somewhere.
a bit over dramatic?
good show
