in the october addition of game informer magazine trhere is a huge article about this game i am really gonna miss the old setting of bioshock 1 and 2….there is no big daddy or little sisters just the girl u saw and the thing that grabed her ….b ready for a whole new bioshock
To avoid confusion (thumbs up please):
Bioshock Infinite is more than likely going to be set in a different universe than Bioshock 1 and 2 (hence no mention of Columbia in those games). It is Bioshock by name and mechanics alone- think of it like Final Fantasy:
Each Final Fantasy is a completely different game, but they all have battle systems that use magic/summons etc and have similar music and set ups.
Infinite will feature things like Plasmids (but they won’t be called Plasmids) and so on.

I like it, its a different mood, but different isn’t always bad. Besides there is a lot of room to have a creepy society under that gleaming exterior. While Bioshock 1 and 2 was more outworldly sinister, this one looks as if evil will be hiding behind a bright veneer – I think there’s a lot of potential here.

This is going to ruin the entire series, entire bull-shit, I hope they cancel the game and for this matter, if they’re going to make it like this, I hope they cancel the rest of the entire damned series.

If the series were called “Aquashock” I would agree that the name should be changed, but it’s called “Bioshock”. Why can’t we have something different for a change instead of a string of sequels that are nearly identical to the first?

@brantonw1 Yes, this appears to be before the first two, as the city, named Colombia, was created somewhere between the 1900 and 1910. So expect it to appear that way in terms of design. Its also interesting to note that the US government made the city, and not some freelancer such as Andrew Ryan. Defiantly different ideals that will be expressed this time around, and based on some pics I saw, they will be pretty harsh by todays standards when it comes to foreigners.
